Anja Dahlmann has been head of the Berlin Office and researcher at the research and transfer pJohn Pyrgies is a Computer Scientist with a passion for Aviation, Artificial Intelligence and CyberSecurity. He acquired his 35 years professional experience in Software Engineering, mostly Requirements Engineering and Cybersecurity, applied to the development of critical banking applications.
John has founded (2014) SkyAngels, a Belgian Young Innovative Company, whose mission is the Specification, the Design, the Verification and the Certification (ED-12C, ED-202A, ED-203A) of Adaptive and Learning Avionics Agents embedded in Manned and Unmanned aircrafts (UAVs) carrying military missions.
SkyAngels ‘George’ R&D program relies upon its founder’s research led in the scope of a PhD dissertation in Computer Science, in progress at the uNamur University in co-operation with the Belgian Royal Military Academy and the Ecole de l’Air of the French Air Force. The objective of this R&D program is to develop ‘synthetic’ aircraft pilots that will assist human pilots or substitute to them for dangerous/kamikaze missions. The Use Case covered in the Thesis is the ‘Intelligent Targeting’ enabling an autonomous UAV destroying an enemy UAV as part of a Counter-UAVs System. The more recent ‘CollosusGuardian’ R&D program is aimed at developing ‘synthetic’ CyberAnalysts who will assist human CyberAnalysts in autonomously leading or defending from Cyberattacks in a CyberDefense context.
