Mathijs Vermathen is a Policy Officer at the Security Policy Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands. His work focuses on national and international policy in the field of disarmament, conventional arms control and arms export control.
He is part of the team covering Autonomous Weapon Systems for the Dutch MFA since 2022 and has participated as a delegate in multiple sessions of the GGE LAWS and other multilateral discussion on this topic.
